Teardrops

I look out the window
The sky is clear
The sea duplicates it hue
Endless blue
But only I know
That deep, deep down
Where the blue turns to black
Nothing is calm
Only chaos exists
A void
Growing larger by the minute
While the surface remains unaware
And then without warning
There is a storm
Heavy raindrops
Splattering down relentlessly
Mercilessly
Drenching my own cheeks
The waves thick with emotion
Enraged, aggravated
I look out the window
It is a  beautiful day
Nobody sees the black
Only endless blue
And I am left wondering
What makes teardrops fall
