Eyes Wide Shut

You know you can always count on me
I will never ever let you down
I'll always be there to help you out
You will never feel the need to frown

I'm mesmerized by your perfect features
As I cradle you in my arms
The faint sound of your baby heartbeat
I will protect you from every harm

You're too frail to be let out of my sight
I'll always be wherever you are
but I'm a little afraid because I might
Hurt you if I go too far

Someday you might not need what I give
Someday I'll be too old for you

Even if you don't care about me

I'll try to cover up the gap (between us)

I'm scared that this is just a dream

NOTHING IS FOREVER

Just like a flower withers and dies
And an old bird ceases to fly
The possibility of him waking up is never
And I've learnt that nothing is forever

However beautiful the thing may be
However dear it had been to me
However famous a celebrity was
However loud she got an applause

Maybe to someone it was priceless
With it gone, life would be a mess
But nature hasn't considered it ever
And I've learnt that nothing is forever

Of course everyone puts up a good fight
And we help them with all our might 
But don't you see it's all wrong
It'll never work coz nothing is forever

Doesn't mean we should be sad
Mother earth is not all that bad
True, happiness don't last forever
But then again, no pain is forever

COLORS OF LIFE

There are some peaceful times
You might see them as white

And then at times you're all mellow
All you see around you is yellow

There's a time when you're in love with life
And then all that seems good is red

But when you have to face dark times
Your mood seems to be violet

You will see all shades of life
Bad times chase you like a bull
Good times fly qickly away
But this is what makes life beautiful...

MOON LIGHT

The night was dead as I stepped into it
Maybe everyone had gone to sleep
I looked around to take the scene in
Remains of a castle stood in a heap

The beach looked unnaturally quiet
Except for the soft sand under my feet
I wondered what might have caused this
Coz I saw no bird, not one beast

And then I turned and saw the moon
Following me like a spotlight
It seemed beautiful; at peace
And I started to feel at ease

I was drenched in the light
That the moon cast upon me
I shimmered from head to toe
As if the moon was caressing me

It was just the two of us
We seemed to play hide and seek
I ran away from the light
And it chased, shining down at me

Now I sensed the beach wasn't quiet
The sand and sea were applauding me
I played with them all and the moon
Feeling nature's blessings upon me
